Researching online for chandelier lighting can be the most effective way you can find the most bang for your buck when it comes to making such an investment.  The best sites are the ones that are easy to navigate; do not pressure you into buying and have an easy to browse selection of lamps on the home page with specifications like dimensions and type of chandelier.

chandeliersWhen doing research for purchasing chandeliers online, you want to treat this like car shopping.  Ask questions if you do not see what you are looking for.  This is especially true for sites like overstock.com. They may sell chandeliers, but they may not tell you everything you need to know.  Make sure you ask for pictures if there are none before buying and check to see if shipping damages are included in the warranty.  Some sites may not take back broken or damaged chandeliers.

This brings up a very good point about checking for damaged crystals or candles that may have occurred during shipping.  When doing your research online, make sure that you find out what, if any, return policies they may have.  If you can not re-ship a broken chandelier back, it is best to go to a store that sells chandeliers and purchase one there. Check on what the warranty for chandeliers include as well, so you are not surprised by maintenance fees that may not be spelled out if something were to happen to a crystal and you may need it replaced.

Make sure you have an idea of what you want to purchase before surfing the net.  That way you won’t spend hours looking for something that does not compliment what you already may have in your home.  Choose chandeliers that compliment your theme and go to various sites to compare pricing and dimensions so you can find the chandelier that works best for you.  Make sure you call or email to inquire about any price adjustments or shipping prices that may not be included on the site you are browsing.  This way, you will not incur any charges that you were unaware of and will save you a headache in the long run.

Online research is a great way to spend a little time comparing types of chandeliers and prices before you buy.  It also gives you an edge because you’ll more than likely be purchasing the latest in contemporary chandeliers before anyone else.
